The acquisition, initially disclosed on 23 January 2024, seamlessly concluded on 29 April 2024, with the formal closure of the sale transaction. Sorbead India and Swambe Chemicals will now integrate into Zeochem, the Chemistry division of CPH Chemie + Papier Group, operating under the name Sorbchem India Pvt. Ltd.
This strategic move not only solidifies Zeochem’s presence in the Indian chemicals and pharmaceutical markets but also enables Zeochem to diversify its product portfolio. Sorbchem specializes in distributing molecular sieves, packaging materials, and manufacturing chromatography gels, catering to the packaging and pharmaceutical sectors.
